A former Mr. Carbon runner-up and juggler extraordinaire, Dr. Daniel Garvin has joined the Castle Country community to offer his services to local residents at The Pediatric Clinic. Members of Castleview Hospital and the community gathered to welcome Dr. Garvin at a recent luncheon where the doctor introduced himself and explained what he will be offering to the local area.
“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Garvin,” said Mark Holyoak. “He is a vital addition to our community, providing a great blend of top-notch clinical education and knowledge with a strong passion for providing families with excellent care.”
Upon completing high school and a two-year LDS mission, Dr. Garvin attended Southern Utah University where he gained his love for medicine and the intricacies of the human body. He then attended the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City and completed his residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Garvin specializes in pediatrics and will provide care to infants, children and adolescents including well child exams, school and sports screenings, immunizations and sutures. Those that visit The Pediatric Clinic can also find vision and hearing screenings, sick child diagnosis and treatment, developmental screening, and casting and splinting. Dr. Garvin summed up his practice as a “one stop shop” for local children’s needs.
“Children are such a blessing in the lives of those fortunate enough to raise them,” said Dr. Garvin in a press release. “I look forward to helping children and their families achieve their potential and alleviate sickness and suffering in these impressionable years. This community helped mold me into the person I am today and how grateful I am for the chance to return the favor. I merely wish to help those who hurt.”
Dr. Garvin brings a wife and four, soon to be five, children to Price along with his expertise with infants, children and adolescents.
