The child nutrition staff at Castle Dale Elementary assisted in celebrating Emery High Homecoming by hosting an annual tailgate party.
A hot dog lunch with all the trimmings was offered to the students outdoors. Students were also invited to dress in Spartan attire to the support the football team. All the students that eat school lunch placed their cards in a bowl for a drawing that included football brownies, cracker jacks and other ballgame treats.
The drawing took place at the conclusion of lunch. The excitement caught on and many carried this to the high school game in the evening.
