In the absence of Rose Barnes, Carbon County IT Department Supervisor Barry Horsley took time during Wednesday’s County Commission Meeting to award Steve Maxfield as the Carbon County Employee of the month.
Maxfield, who works in the county’s IT department, was praised heavily by Horsley as well as Benjamin Clement, Carbon County GIS Manager who shared the praise of a fellow employee who had nominated Maxfield for the award.
“I nominated him because he’s always happy and willing to help out as soon as you ask him if he’s available,” Clement shared on behalf of the nominating employee. “He’s super resourceful and goes out of what I would think his job description is.”
“I’m glad that you can fix those little things that seems like we always need with technology and it helps us,” Commissioner Potter said to Maxfield at the meeting.
“Let’s just say,” Clement continued, “his personality for an IT person is atypical,” amidst laughs from those in attendance.
