Castle Country’s newest pediatrician Dr. Daniel Garvin welcomed members of the community to his practice Thursday afternoon to celebrate a ribbon cutting for The Pediatric Clinic. Representatives from the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce, Castleview Hospital and the community were present to welcome Dr. Garvin and his family back to Price.
Dr. Garvin is a Price native and has returned to the area after schooling took him from Southern Utah University to the University of Utah School of Medicine before completing his residency at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Dr. Garvin specializes in pediatrics and will provide care to infants, children and adolescents including well child exams, school and sports screenings, immunizations and sutures. Those that visit The Pediatric Clinic can also find vision and hearing screenings, sick child diagnosis and treatment, developmental screening, and casting and splinting. Dr. Garvin summed up his practice as a “one stop shop” for local children’s needs.
In conjunction with the ribbon cutting ceremony, later that afternoon Dr. Garvin hosted a Spooktacular in his office. Donning costumes of all kinds, children were able to visit the office, enjoy cookies and were even given the chance to have their photo professionally taken in their Halloween get-up.
Upon completion of the photo, parents were given a card with directions to receive a digital copy for free and the children were gifted with a goodie bag full of a variety of fun tokens.
