Social media, tourism, reinvention; these topics and more were key items discussed at the Utah State University Eastern Business Conference on Friday. The annual conference is an event that welcomes business owners and leaders to the University to take part in networking and breakout sessions as well as listen to keynote speakers discuss the world of business.
The morning started with breakfast for those in attendance while they took time to listen to Mike Turner, the Utah Honor Flight Chairman, speak. During his presentation, Turner explained the inception of the Honor Flight program in Utah and its work to serve WWll, Korean and Vietnam veterans on their trips to Washington D.C.
The conference then proceeded with two breakout sessions that featured topics such as social media, rural tourism development, business succession planning and expanding business both domestically and internationally.
The event ended with a lunch catered by USUE Dining Services along with keynote speaker Bryan Miller. Miller is the author of “Behind the Drive: 99 Inspiring Stories from the Life of an American Entrepreneur,” written in honor of his father Larry H. Miller.
