In his first year as head coach for the Carbon High School wrestling team, Brock Fausett has faced highs and lows as well as a unique blend of veteran team members and newcomers.
“You have a lot of peaks and valleys throughout the season,” Fausett explained. Facing off against some of the best in the state, the head coach remains hopeful of the future and the chance his wrestlers have to see the level at which they need to perform.
Most recently, the team hosted North Sevier Tuesday evening and walked away with an overall loss. The team had improved, however, from the previous faceoff against the same rival and had several victories from the JV team.
The Carbon High wrestlers will continue their preparations for region action, which is slated for Feb. 3-4 in Juab.
