American Legion Post 42 will sponsor a fish and chips dinner and bingo event to assist young men with the cost of attendance at Boys State.
Post 42 commander Clifford Snow is concerned that Boys State participation from Ferron has been quite low for several years and believes that if the post can raise money toward the cost it will help that situation.
In 2016, one young man attended and Post 42 had no money to support him. Snow wishes to improve on that.
The event will take place in Ferron on February 18 in the multi-purpose building at the rodeo grounds. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. Bingo will start when dinner is finished. A $20 donation per person is asked to be made at the door.
