Kelsey Sorenson and Lindsey Blanc combined for 31 of Carbon’s 59 points in the Carbon Lady Dinos’ quarterfinal 59-44 win over Desert Hills Thursday afternoon in Logan.
Sorenson went 3-6 from beyond the arc and 6-12 overall en route to a team high 17 points. Blanc was next with 14 points, including 9-10 from the free throw line. Cyene Bigelow chipped in eight points and Chandelle Nichols and Jordan Bianco each added seven. As a team, Carbon was 19-26 (73%) from the free throw line.
The Lady Dinos play at 4:10 p.m. Friday against Juan Diego in the 3A Semifinals. Juan Diego beat Union to advance to the semifinal matchup against Carbon.
