Look, listen, touch and think. Learn about the world around you. This is just one sign of many that are now located on the Price River Trail, encouraging children and families to be active and use their imaginations. The Born Learning trail, a product of United Way, officially merged with the Price River Trail on Saturday afternoon with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Cheryl Wilcox, United Way of Eastern Utah Director, welcomed those in attendance to the ribbon cutting and thanked the trail’s many sponsors for their assistance.
“There are born learning trails all across the United States, from east to west and now there’s one in Price,” Wilcox explained.
After the ribbon was cut and with assistance from the Carbon High cheerleaders, local youngsters were able to experience the trail firsthand. Signs along the way encourage children in different ways to listen, look, think and more. Paintings that were completed by local artists were found along the trail that coincided with the signs and further encouraged the children.
Free Wendy’s Frosty certificates were also given to those in attendance.
