Scott Joseph Strong appeared in person in Seventh District Court Monday where he was sentenced on a total of 12 drug-related incidents.

The 30-year old was represented by two local attorneys, Robert Oliver and David Allred.

Spanning from Aug. 14, 2015, Strong’s cases included a single Class B misdemeanor for the use or possession of drug paraphernalia, five Class A misdemeanors on attempted distribution, offering or arranged distribution of a controlled substance and six second-degree felonies for distributing, offering or arranging the distribution of a controlled substance.

The court ruled to sentence Strong to the maximum sentence on all charges, with the charges running concurrently.

The sentencing, however, was then stayed and Strong was placed on formal probation with Adult Probation and Parole for 36 months. Credit was also given to Strong for 90 days already served since Feb. 19. Strong will also attend the drug court program.

In addition to probation, Strong was ordered to forfeit a total of $2,382 in two of the twelve cases.

Strong was ordered at the end of the sentencing to report to AP&P as well as a drug court tracker.
