Recently, former AP&P agent Samual Bowman was formally charged in the Seventh District Court for a sexual relations case stemming from September 2015.

According to Carbon County Attorney Gene Strate, Bowman was formerly charged with three counts of custodial sexual relations and one count of tampering with evidence, all third degrees felonies.

According to a Price City Police Department press release in September 2015, the arrest came after drug task force officers were informed by a confidential informant that Bowman, who is an agent assigned to the Price office of Utah Adult Probation and Parole, was allegedly involved in a sexual relationship with a female probationer he supervises.

During a subsequent investigation, task force officers observed the probationer and Bowman together in Bowman’s state vehicle in the Farnham Road area of Carbon County, south of Wellington, according to the release.

Bowman was arrested on a third degree felony charge of custodial sexual relations and was subsequently booked at the Emery County Jail.

An initial appearance in the Seventh District Court has been scheduled for August 28. The appearance will serve to set a preliminary hearing in the future.
