Participants in the annual Mr. USU Eastern pageant took the stage Thursday night in hopes of taking home the crown and sash for the school year.
Five USU Eastern students participated in the event. Alex Holt, Brennon Atterton, Christian Heugly, Mitchell Van Wagnor, and Colton Dean Thacker all gave the crowd a good laugh as they went through the competition.
Judges determined the winners from three rounds of competition. Categories included question, swimsuit and talent. Contestants were also judged on their confidence and personality. The last challenge for the contestants before the crowning was to draw a portrait of their escorts.
In the end, Colton Dean Thacker was crowned the 2018 Mr. USU Eastern, winning a 32′ smart TV. Brennon Atterton took home 1st attendant and an iHome speaker, and Christian Heugly walked away with 2nd attendant and Sony headphones.
