Electric Lake

Anglers are catching cutthroat and tiger trout using dead minnows suspended under bobbers. Anglers have also caught cutthroat trout using a size 8 bead-head leech in a red UV polar chenille pattern. Some anglers have also had luck catching kokanee salmon fishing downriggers in 20 feet of water. (11-13-17)
Ferron Reservoir

Anglers are catching rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and some tiger trout using medium- and fast-sinking lines with size 6 and 8 bead head flies in great/black/pearl, brown/green and white combinations. Some of the rainbow and cutthroat trout have been longer than 16 inches. Fishing has been slower in the mornings but picks up after noon. Also, those fishing in the middle of the lake are catching more fish than those fishing from shore. (11-13-17)
Gooseberry Reservoir

The reservoir was stocked with several thousand rainbow trout this summer, as well as fingerling Arctic grayling that will grow through the fall and winter months. Try using worms and PowerBait to catch trout here. (11-13-17)
Huntington Creek

A recent electrofishing survey found hundreds of healthy, large brown trout in Huntington Creek below Electric Lake. Try using dark soft hackle flies or leeches to catch them. (11-13-17)

Huntington Reservoir

Fishing has been best during the late morning and early afternoon hours. Those fishing from boats are having better luck than those fishing from shore. To catch trout here, try using a fast-sinking line with green buggers and leeches. You might also find success trolling a 3-inch red-sided shiner minnow or Rapala pattern. (11-13-17)
Joes Valley Reservoir

A recent gill net survey found several large cutthroat trout, splake and tiger muskie at the reservoir. A look at stomach content found that the trout were feeding on small crayfish and flying ants, while the tiger muskie were eating chub. (11-13-17)
Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond
Good
The pond was stocked with several thousand rainbow trout in September, as well as fingerling largemouth bass. Try using worms and PowerBait to catch trout here. For bass, try spinner lures. (11-13-17)
La Sal Mountains
Good
Anglers should find success catching rainbow trout at Dons, Hidden, Oowah, Warner and Kens lakes using worms, PowerBait and spinner lures. Kens Lake has also been stocked with 10,000 largemouth bass. The bass will grow throughout the fall and winter. (11-13-17)
Lower Fish Creek
Good
Anglers are catching brook trout using Panther Martin spinners. Utah chub are very thick below the dam at Scofield Reservoir; catching them has been easy using a green soft hackle fly. The creek was also stocked with more than 26,000 brown trout in June; the same lures should work well to catch them. (11-13-17)
Miller Flat Reservoir

The reservoir was stocked with 21,000 rainbow trout in June. Try using worms, PowerBait and spinners to catch them. (11-13-17)
Millsite Reservoir & State Park

The water level is still low as construction continues on the dam. The lower water level means the fish are more concentrated, and the daily limit is still 16 fish. Try using Panther Martin spinners, worms and PowerBait to catch trout here. (11-13-17)
Petes Hole

The reservoir was stocked with several thousand rainbow trout, and 4,000 tiger trout, this past summer. To catch trout here, try using worms and PowerBait, or try spinners in deeper water. (11-13-17)
Potters Ponds

Scofield Reservoir
Hot
Fishing is hot for cutthroat trout. Successful anglers are catching several dozen cutthroats in two or three hours trolling with spoons and Rapalas. Fly anglers are finding success using size 6 bead-head soft hackle flies in brown/green/pearl or black/blue/red patterns. The reservoir was stocked in late October with about 37,000 tiger trout. The tigers were about seven inches long. About 2,500 rainbow trout—some averaging 24 inches long—were also stocked. (11-13-17)
