Santa Paws made a special stop at Active Re-Entry for the 22nd annual P.A.W.S. photo event on Tuesday. Santa sat down and met with local animals throughout the evening.
Pet owners paid a small fee to have their pet’s photo taken with Santa. The money raised from the fundraiser supports the PAWS. program in both Carbon and Emery counties.
“Active Re-Entry supports the PAWS (People & Animals Working to Serve) Program. The use of animals to facilitate positive changes in a broad spectrum of therapeutic settings is becoming more accepted, appreciated and valued,” the organization shares. “Under the direction of health services and education professionals, animal-assisted therapy can promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social improvement for people with special needs.”
