USU Eastern Alumni as well as friends and family gathered at the Price City Hall on Tuesday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the college. Carbon College opened in 1937 and boasted that name until 1964 when it was then changed to the College of Eastern Utah (CEU).

The college was named CEU until 2010 when it then became Utah State University Eastern (USU-E), a title that the college still holds today. In October 1938, the college consisted of three buildings: the Reeves, the gym and a shop. The school began with 11 teachers and 100 students.

The alumni and other guests were able to browse past yearbooks and reminisce. They were also given cake, cider and hot chocolate. The anniversary celebration was sponsored by the alumni association.
