Jordan Bianco led the Carbon Lady Dinos with 19 points, including five three-pointers, in Carbon’s win over the Delta Rabbits on Tuesday night, 58-23.
Bianco’s 28 made threes (5-7 against Delta) on the season sits her in second place in the state of Utah behind Green River’s Maribel Escalante’s 30.
Jodi Noyes scored 14 of her 18 points in the first half to lead the Dinos to the 35-10 advantage at the half. Noyes was a perfect 8-8 from the floor in the game. Kelsey Sorenson had 12 points in the game as well.
Carbon led by as many as 43 points (57-14) in the second half before head coach Ted Bianco went to his bench for most of the fourth. Carbon held Delta to just 18% (6-34) shooting for the game. The Lady Dinos were 20-45 for the game, good for 44%.
Carbon (7-3, 2-1 Region 14) will host 4A Uintah (3-4, 0-0 Region 10) on Thursday. The Lady Dinos beat the Utes 50-27 back on Dec. 2 at the Shanon Johnson Tournament in Vernal.
