On Saturday, the Pinnacle boys’ basketball team hosted a region contest against Monument Valley. The two teams went head to head most of the game with Pinnacle leading at the half, 26-22.
Logan Ellington had nine points, one point shy of a double double. He helped out the team with 11 rebounds along with Isaiah Wilstead’s defensive help, allowing his defender to score just six points. Kaden Daughters led the Pinnacle Panthers with 14 points along with five rebounds.
Monument Valley took the lead 46-45 with 10 seconds remaining before Logan Ellington grabbed an offensive rebound and Kaden Daughters took a big shot to give Pinnacle the win.
The Panthers (9-7, 2-2 Region 19) will travel to Monticello Friday for another region matchup.
