Academy Mill Reservoir
Closed – Because of snow and mud, Academy Mill Reservoir and others above Joes Valley may be currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Benches Pond
Closed – Because of recent snowfall, Benches Pond is currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Boulger Reservoir
Closed – Boulger Reservoir has stable ice, but the reservoir is currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. Access may be possible with a snow machine. (04-03-18)
Carbon County Community Fishing Pond
Good – The Carbon County Community Fishing Pond is open again. The pond was stocked with 1,000 rainbow trout on Mar. 28. Try using nightcrawlers or PowerBait for catching rainbow trout here. (04-03-18)
Cleveland Reservoir
Good – Cleveland Reservoir has about 18 inches of solid ice, but the ice is currently buried beneath about two feet of snow and slush. Anglers have had lots of success catching rainbow trout using tube jigs tipped with mealworms. Fishing is best before noon. (04-03-18)
Duck Fork Reservoir
Fair – Because of snow, ice and mud, access to Duck Fork Reservoir and others on the South Manti may be limited. (04-03-18)
Electric Lake
Fair – Because of recent snowfall, Electric Lake is currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. The boat ramp is accessible, however, with snowshoes or a snow machine. Fishing may be best near the boat ramp and from other sloping terrain using tube jigs. (04-03-18)
Fairview Lakes
Closed – Because of recent snowfall, Fairview Lakes are currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Ferron Reservoir
Closed – Ferron Reservoir and others on the South Manti are inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Gigliotti Pond
Good – Gigliotti Pond was stocked with 750 rainbow trout on Mar. 28. Try using worms or PowerBait for catching rainbow trout here. (04-03-18)
Gooseberry Reservoir
Closed – Because of snow, Gooseberry Reservoir is currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Grassy Lake
Closed – Because of ice on the road, Grassy Lake and other waters on the South Manti are currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. (04-03-18)
Huntington Creek
Fair – Most of Huntington Creek has open water. Try using nymph or soft hackle flies for catching brown trout. (04-03-18)
Huntington North Reservoir
Fair – Huntington North Reservoir has open water and has been stocked with more than 3,000 rainbow trout so far this year. Many of those fish are more than 20 inches long. A recent gill net survey also produced several largemouth bass over three pounds. (04-03-18)
Huntington Reservoir
Slow – Huntington Reservoir has stable ice, but it is buried beneath two or more feet of snow and slush. You’ll need a shovel or an auger extension to fish here. Try using tube jigs or plain jig heads tipped with worms to catch tiger trout here. (04-03-18)
Joes Valley Reservoir
Slow – Joes Valley Reservoir is almost completely open, and many anglers are launching boats onto the reservoir. Fishing has been slow, but it should pick up as temperatures warm. (04-03-18)
Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond
Good – The Knight-Ideal Community Fishing Pond in Wellington reopened on Mar. 1. The pond was stocked with 1,000 rainbow trout on Mar. 28. Try using worms or PowerBait for catching trout here. Some anglers have caught trout between eight inches and 14 inches since the pond reopened. (04-03-18)
La Sal Mountains
Closed – Many waters on the La Sal Mountains are either inaccessible with highway vehicles or covered with unstable ice. (04-03-18)
Lower Fish Creek
Good – The upper end of Lower Fish Creek is still accessible, with open water. Four-wheel drive is a good idea for driving in and out of the parking lot. Try using panther martin spinners or green soft hackle flies for catching trout and chubs here. (04-03-18)
Miller Flat Reservoir
Closed – Miller Flat Reservoir is currently inaccessible with highway vehicles. You might be able to reach the reservoir using a snow machine. (04-03-18)
Millsite Reservoir & State Park
Fair – The water level at Millsite Reservoir is still low, but it has risen by about 10 feet since the ice thawed. There isn’t enough water to launch a boat. The daily limit of 16 fish has also been extended for another year at Millsite. Anglers have had success using leeches and crystal buggers. (04-03-18)
Petes Hole
Closed – Petes Hole and other waters above Joes Valley might be inaccessible due to snow, ice and mud. (04-03-18)
Potters Ponds
Closed – Potters Ponds might be inaccessible with highway vehicles due to snow, ice and mud. (04-03-18)
Right Fork of Huntington Creek
Fair – Most of Huntington Creek has open water, especially just below the Electric Lake dam. (04-03-18)
Scofield Reservoir
Good – Scofield Reservoir is about 90 percent ice free. Anglers have mostly been fishing the dam cove. Parts of the east shoreline along the highway may still have ice, but the reservoir will soon be completely free of ice. Try using jigs tipped with chub meat or spinners for catching cutthroat trout.
