The Emery Lady Spartans’ losing streak ran to six games Friday afternoon after a 15-2 loss to North Sanpete.
Despite knocking around 10 hits, Emery had just on RBI, a home run to left field in the sixth inning off the bat of Bailey Huggard. Raegan Rasmussen and Jayla Weston went a combined 4-5 in the game, each contributing two hits.
Huggard went the distance on the mound, allowing seven earned runs. The Lady Spartans committed six errors that led to eight unearned runs.
Leading 7-1 going into the sixth inning, North Sanpete scored eight runs to blow the game wide open.
Emery (6-11, 2-6 Region 15) will take on Grand on Tuesday in Moab.
