The Spartans found redemption against Grand at home on Thursday, continuing Emery’s winning streak.
Zak Anderson scored the only goal of the game in the first half, leading Emery to victory. Tayvan Cook earned the shutout for the Spartans, ending the game 1-0.
The Spartans have won six of their last seven with a lone game ending in a tie during that stretch. The streak puts Emery on top of the Region 15 standings, just ahead of Manti. Emery (8-3, 6-1 Region 15) will be back on the road again on Tuesday, traveling to take on #2 Manti (8-3, 6-2 Region 15). The team will then wrap up the regular season at home on Thursday as the Spartans host Richfield.
