The racing season continued over the weekend as Desert Thunder Raceway played host to its second event of the year.
Just two weeks following the raceway’s 2018 opening event, racers once again lined up for a chance to take home a win. Classes included IMCA modified, IMCA sports modified, IMCA stock car, hobby stocks and mini stocks. The race began at 6 p.m. as an eager crowd filled the stands to cheer on the drivers.
Desert Thunder Raceway will have a short break before gearing up for another race May 11 and 12. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with the race starting at 6 p.m. The raceway will then be prepared for its biggest event of the year, the Castle Country Clash, on Sept. 28 and 29.
