With the end of the school year fast approaching, retiring teachers are preparing their last lessons in the classroom.
On Monday afternoon, faculty and staff at Carbon High School came together for a retirement lunch to honor Mark Carrillo, Sally Stewart and Sandra Nelson.
Carrillo has 40 years of teaching under his belt, 39 1/2 of them being within Carbon School District. Stewart began teaching 21 years ago, all of which have been in Carbon. Although Nelson has only been teaching at Carbon for the last five years, she has 16 more years of teaching in other school districts.
The event was hosted in the library at Carbon High and refreshments were provided.
