The Helper American Legion Merchants finished the regular season with a 3-1 flourish over the past week.
The Merchants beat Westlake on Friday 15-3 in Helper, then took a pair of games against Springville (7-4) and St. George (5-2) on Saturday. Helper then finished up the regular season with a loss to Westlake on Tuesday, 17-4.
Helper will begin the first round of the state playoffs with a matchup against Taylorsville in Pleasant Grove on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The Merchants took the Southern Division #2 seed via their 11-5 regular season record.
