The Carbon 12U baseball team took host Long Beach 8-4 on Tuesday in the opening game of the Cal Ripken Pacific Southwest Regional Tournament. The tournament in Long Beach will span throughout the week and feature multiple games for the Carbon boys.
Wyatt Falk and Riley Davis were huge for the team, each smashing home runs. Falk also pitched five innings, giving up five hits, seven strike outs and no walks. Peyton Molinar closed out the last two innings, giving up two hits, one strike and no walks.
“Carbon played great defense and the pitching was awesome,” said head coach Shane Henrie.
Next up, the team will take on Fallon, Nev. on Wednesday evening.
