Carl’s Dad got a job in the Sunnyside Mine, in 1948, and moved their family to Utah. Carl graduated from East Carbon High School, and moved to Salt Lake City. He got a job at Walgreens, where he met his wife Phyllis, they were married three years later in September 1965, when he was home on leave from the army. He was then stationed in Germany, where Phyllis joined him. He returned home after the Army, and got his job back at a printing shop. Years later he was tired of printing and worked at Granger High School for fifteen years. He retired early in 2003 to help raise a grand-daughter Maggie. Carl loved fishing and hunting and cooking. No one can make chili verde as good as his, although a few of us are still trying. Carl is survived by his wife Phyllis, Daughters Debbie (Ben Mace), Becky (Bart Stockdale), Patti, and twin sons Carlos (Audra) and Mario (Christa), and all those special grand-children, Alex (Kinzee), Heather (Clayton), Myles (Kirea), Gary, Maggie, Saydie, Davin, Baylee, Kendra, Eva, Brooklyn, Leeya, Great grandchildren are Mikaela, TJ, Kynlee, December, Lincoln and Layla. brothers Robert, James and sisters Gloria and Lydia. He was so happy to hear stories of things those grand-children did and said. Carl was also the best story teller, everyone loves those fishing and hunting stories. Carl always grew a big garden, and loved to give away chili’s and tomatoes. He was preceded in death by brother Frankie and daughter Sandra. Carl will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
