In dealing with the aftermath of the Trail Mountain Fire, heavy equipment has been strategically placed throughout drainages in Huntington Canyon. This equipment is vital in protecting the roadway, the public, and culinary, industrial and irrigation water supplies from the debris flows and flooding coming off the burn scar.
It was discovered Friday that a trackhoe has been vandalized, leaving it inoperable.
With a lot of people heading to the mountains for the Labor Day weekend, ECSO is asking for the public’s help in keeping an eye out for any suspicious activity around the equipment. If you know anything about this incident, please call ECSO Dispatch Center at (435) 381-2404.
