The 5th annual Hope Walk & Rock, hosted by the Hope Squad of Carbon and Emery Counties, took place on Friday evening at the Price City Peace Gardens. Yearly, this event signifies the beginning of National Suicide Prevention Week and is in honor of families and survivors of suicide.
Beginning with opening remarks from Debbie Marvidikis of the Hope Squad, the event kicked off with three speakers that shared personal and professional experiences on suicide loss and prevention. A walk around the block was next on the plate, followed by a release of balloons and dinner provided by Market Express.
Those in attendance were also treated to suicide prevention ribbons and given the chance to share their own experiences and thoughts.
