Castleview Hospital Press Release
Hospital’s chief financial officer tapped to lead it into the future;
national search for a new CFO underway
Price, Utah – (November 15, 2018) – Castleview Hospital today announced that Greg Cook has been named its chief executive officer (CEO). Cook, who currently serves as chief financial officer (CFO) of Castleview, will replace Interim CEO Jerry Dooley, effective Nov. 19, 2018. A national search has commenced to find a new CFO.
“Greg has been an integral member of Castleview Hospital’s leadership team for five years,” said Robert Klein, president of LifePoint’s Western Group, of which Castleview is a part. “He has played a critical role in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to ensure that it’s providing the highest-quality care close to home, and it is clear that Greg is the right person for this top leadership role.”
Cook has served as CFO of Castleview since 2013 and was named LifePoint Health CFO of the year in 2014 for his work at the hospital. During his tenure, he has been engaged in significant capital improvement projects, including the construction of a new urgent care facility and building of a retail pharmacy with drive-through window and home delivery services. He also was engaged in initiatives to enhance quality care, and patient safety and satisfaction at Castleview, which earned the hospital designation as a Duke LifePoint Quality Affiliate in April 2018.
“Greg knows our staff, physicians and community so well, and has shown a tremendous dedication to Castleview and those we serve,” said Erroll Holt, Chair of the Governing Board at Castleview Hospital. “We are delighted to name him CEO of the hospital and look forward to continuing to work with him to explore new ways we can make our community healthier in the months ahead.”
Prior to joining Castleview, Cook served as CFO at Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, Ky., and Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, Ky. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Utah Valley University in Orem.
“I am honored to have been chosen to lead Castleview Hospital into the future,” said Cook. “I am proud to have been a member of this great hospital team since 2013, and I’m excited for the opportunities ahead for us to continue to expand our services and offer even better care for our patients of all ages across this region.”
