Saturday, March 2 marks Read Across America Day as well as Dr. Seuss’s birthday. Due to this special day falling on a weekend, Creekview Elementary decided to celebrate early.
On Thursday afternoon, the lunch crowd in the school’s cafeteria looked a bit different as they accommodated some special guests to help them celebrate the day. Members of the Price City Police Department, such as sergeant Kelly Maynes and officer Mikey Montoya, took time to visit with students and read with them while they ate.
Seuss classics such as “Green Eggs and Ham,” “The Cat in the Hat” and “Mr. Brown Can Moo, Can You?” were enjoyed by the officers and students alike.
