The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) announced that Highway 6 was reopened in both directions just after 5 p.m. on Friday evening.
“U.S. 6 is open to traffic,” UDOT shared. “Please drive safely.”
The highway was closed in both directions on Thursday evening following a mud slide. Cleanup was initially planned to be completed by 12 p.m. on Friday, but additional time was needed to clear the debris.
“Because it is so wet, mud continues to slide onto the road. Once the road is dry, it will be reopened,” UDOT shared on Friday morning.
