Boneta Harrison, age 94, died on Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Boneta was born in Sunnyside on April 17, 1924. She married Lloyd Harrison (deceased). She is survived by her two children, Janice Luke (Gene) of Draper, and Brad (Dale) of Honolulu, grand children and great grand children.
Boneta graduated from Carbon High School, and worked for J. Bracken Lee, former Price City Mayor and 9th Utah State Governor, Eastern Utah Collection Agency, The Sun Advocate, and College of Eastern Utah.
She was most well known as a superb golfer, turning in low gross tournament scores at Carbon Country Club that remain unbroken to this day. Some will remember the 1961 summer exhibition match she played with the legendary golfer Mickey Wright, Albert “Obbie” Passic, and Lavelle Shiner at Carbon Country Club.
Those who knew Boneta will always remember her warm and engaging smile, bubbly personality and boundless energy. She will be buried next to Lloyd at the Price City Cemetery. Private service held.
