Middle school cross country runners from Canyon View and San Rafael competed in their first meet of the year at Millsite Golf Course on Thursday afternoon. The course started at the tunnel that runs under the road to the back nine holes and ended there, prompting the runners to look for the light at the end of tunnel. Coach Wilson called the course grueling and congratulated all for finishing, especially in the heat.
Winners in the girls competition from San Rafael were Addy Guymon (first), Bryndli Stevens (second) and Ryleigh Allred (third). Boys receiving the first three medals were Mason Stewart (first), Hayden Christiansen, (second) and Camdon Larsen (third), all from San Rafael Middle School.
