Jaylon Dennis and the Carbon Dinos had a big night on Friday against Judge Memorial. The Dinos took a quick 14-0 lead in the first quarter after Dennis’ six-yard touchdown run.
Carbon’s special teams had a huge impact on the game in the second quarter. Dennis was back for a punt return when he muffed the punt. He was able to recover and promptly took it 51-yards, all the way to the house for a touchdown. After the Bulldogs got on the board with a touchdown, Carbon immediately answered back. Dennis fumbled the ensuing kickoff once again but remained composed while he picked up the ball and followed his entourage of blockers 86-yards, untouched for another special teams touchdown. Going into halftime, the Dinos led 34-6.
It was all Dinos in the second half as Judge Memorial did not score again. Dennis showed off his speed another time in the final half with a 51-yard interception return for a touchdown. He had a game he won’t soon forget, scoring four different times on a run, punt return, kick return and interception, excelling in all three facets of the game.
Carbon went on to demolish Judge Memorial by a score of 50-6. For full game highlights, click here.
