The area’s newest home health agency is the brainchild of a trio looking to offer homegrown care to residents in Carbon and Emery counties. The business, known as Elevate Home Health, LLC, celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Tuesday afternoon. The Carbon County Chamber of Commerce provided the gold scissors and red ribbon as the business was bursting with supporters.
Elevate Home Health is owned by Brody LeRoy, Michelle Willson and David Funk. LeRoy, the director of therapy, has been an occupational therapist for over 12 years and is also a licensed health facility administrator. He was the director of therapy for eight years at a skilled nursing facility in Price as well as an administrator for two years. Also on LeRoy’s resume is 11 years as a certified lymphedema therapist as well as 15 years in the health care industry in Utah. He received his Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Utah.
Willson is the director of nursing and has been a registered nurse for over 10 years. She has experience is a variety of health care environments, including home health, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and hospital emergency room settings, and was the director of nursing for five years at a skilled nursing facility in Price. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Dixie State University.
Funk also brings a multitude of experience to Elevate Home Health. He is a licensed health facility manager with 10 years of experience in Utah in California. For five of those years, he served at the administrator of a facility in Price. Funk also serves as the regional operations leader for the Plum Healthcare Group.
The Elevate Home Health team offers skilled nursing care, post-hospital care, post-surgical care and wound care. Patients can also receive lymphedema care, pain management, diabetes management and IV therapy. Therapy services include occupational therapy, speech therapy and physical therapy. Many other services are also available, curated specifically for each patient.
