On Tuesday, Oct, 8, the city of Green River will host its monthly council meeting in which the council has planned a special presentation.
The presentation will be about the city’s plan to create more trails, bike paths and family-friendly access along the river. Anna Evans, a member of the city council, has requested that residents of the city attend and give their input. “We want your input about our progress and future plans, so we hope to see you there,” she said.
The meeting will take place at the city hall at 7 p.m.
The City of Green River has been working to create more outdoor areas for the community and travelers to enjoy. The city opened a new river trail in March that begins at the John Wesley Powell Museum and winds nearly .25 miles along the river.
Along with that trail, the Athena bike trail was opened in March of 2018 along the I-70 exit that loops for 5.5 miles.
