The Dinos started off on the wrong foot when they faced Grand on Friday evening. Carbon immediately fumbled the opening kickoff, which Grand was able to recover. The Red Devils drove the short distance to score the first touchdown of the game.
After a couple defensive stops on both sides, the Dinos regained possession. They were moving the ball before they fumbled yet again, and Grand scooped it up and returned it to the house to go up 14-0. Carbon then responded with a touchdown drive of its own but missed the kick to trail 14-6.
The Dinos stopped Grand on their next possession and had the chance to drive down and tie the game. The Red Devils stood tough, however, and denied the opportunity.
Grand scored another time and went into halftime with a 20-6 lead. It was all Red Devils in the second half as they made some solid adjustments on defense to stifle the Dino offense. Grand beat down Carbon 47-6.
The Dinos (1-5, 0-3 Region 12) will take on San Juan (6-2, 3-0 Region 12) for senior night.
