The Utah State University Eastern women’s soccer team was defeated by Snow College 1-0 on Thursday. In a hard-fought match that was knotted at 0-0 after one half of play, the Badgers came out victorious on their home field.
The Eagles had three shots on goal in the contest with several chances to take the lead early in the first half to tie the game but couldn’t capitalize. The Badgers’ defense gave the Eagles a difficult challenge.
“We didn’t play our best game against Snow but fortunately we don’t have long to dwell on that as we focus to play Southern Nevada on Saturday,” said head coach Ammon Bennett.
The Eagles finish the regular season conference games against the College of Southern Nevada on Saturday, Oct. 19. The conference tournament will be held next on the schedule. Saturday’s results around the conference will determine the Eagles first round matchup in the tournament.
