Local Parker Morgan was recently spotlighted by Castleview Hospital for his Eagle Scout Project, which was the donation of 59 surgery dolls to the hospital’s Child Life Specialist, Belinda Thayn.
These surgery dolls are utilized to ease the process of surgery for children. This is completed through Thayn explaining exactly what will happen during their procedure. The children are also then able to color and personalize their surgery dolls.
The project was completed with the assistance of over 12 adults and many youngsters teaming up in order to stuff, cut and sew each doll. Castleview Hospital concluded their spotlight by thanking Morgan for his efforts.
