The annual S2 Halloween costume barrel race took place on Tuesday evening. Riders flew around the barrels in festive costumes for everyone in attendance to enjoy. Costumes included scarecrows, islanders, circus entertainers and more. The horses joined in on the fun and costumes wearing everything from farmers clothes to a bikini top. Carla Tatton took the adult division in a scarecrow outfit. This was the scarecrows night as Oakley Hopes ended on top in similar style in the youth division, while everyone was a winner in peewee.
S2 is a non-profit barrel racing club. Racers come from Carbon, Emery and Sevier counties with a few from Colorado. It runs a 4D race with open and youth divisions and it runs poles as well. S2 is locally funded and appreciates the support from communities. It puts on a Halloween costume race every year and it is always a blast for the community.
