Emery capped off its busy week with a win over the Morgan Trojans on Thursday night. The intense three-day schedule included two home contests with a road game to Beaver sandwiched in the middle. The Lady Spartans did not show any signs of fatigue early and dropped 18 points in the first quarter. They went on to hold a 30-18 lead at halftime. The two teams traded points down the stretch as Emery picked up its third victory in as many days, 51-40.
Sophomore Baylee Jacobson was all over the court. She had a game-high 15 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Tambrie Tuttle matched her rebound total with eight and added 12 points. Kiri Cook recorded another double-digit game with 12 points of her own. Emery did not have its best shooting night (30 percent) but that could be due to the tough stretch of games.
The Lady Spartans (3-1) will get some much needed rest before they head to Springville (2-1) next Tuesday.
