The PTO and library staff of Huntington Elementary added to the delight of Christmas as they served cocoa and cookies with Santa on Monday evening.
This was an opportunity to display nearly two dozen wreaths donated by community businesses and leaders to be auctioned off during a silent auction. The generosity of the community was greatly appreciated by the elementary parents and teachers.
As the excited, wide-eyed youngsters waited their turn to tell Santa their wishlist, they were treated to cookies and cocoa. After their visit, they each received a book to take home with them. During the event, Mrs. Mortensen also displayed computer software for the parents to use at home that the students are now learning to use at school.
