Carbon and Emery met for the first time this season on the tennis court on Thursday. The Lady Dinos dominated the singles matches. Lindsey Snow beat Morgan Hughes 6-1, 6-1 in first singles, Lizzy Blackburn defeated Carlie Bennett 6-0, 6-0 in second singles and Nicole Swasey beat Paige Cox 6-0, 6-0 in third singles.
Ana Maria Olivas and Alyssa Ellis took the second doubles match for Carbon over Megan Hess and Aspen Taylor 6-2, 6-0. The Lady Spartans got their lone win in first doubles when Haley Guymon and Shaylee Grange came back to win 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 over Alex Cartwright and Kaydance Scovill.
Emery will play Wasatch on Tuesday before Region 12 teams meet for regionals this weekend.
