Emery County is currently accepting proposals to build, rebuild, maintain, troubleshoot, and operate the Coal Combustion Analyzer and perform the upgrade of all work at the San Rafael Energy Research Center which includes coal combustion and the nuclear center component.
Professional experience and knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing is critical. Experience in coal combustion analyzing, maintenance and operation is required of all applicants. The Emery County Commission will consider the contractor’s credentials and abilities during the proposal review and selection process.
Within your proposal please include the following:
● Qualifications possessed by applicant to successfully complete the scope of work
● Prior experience working on similar projects
● Acknowledgement of adequate workforce and ability to send additional employees as requested
● Proof of liability insurance, and acknowledgement that additional employees supplied upon request are also covered under this liability insurance
● Monthly cost for services
Contractor must have liability insurance for bodily injury, property damage and errors and omissions all of which will indemnify the County for claims arising out of the contractor’s activities with recommended limits of $1,000,000. Policies with higher limits will be given preference.
References need to be available upon request, and may be evaluated during the bid review process.
Applicants may be asked to participate in an interview to further gauge their fit and ability to work on this project.
This RFP relates to a multi-year contract.
Emery County reserves the right to reject any or all RFP submissions, to waive any informality of any proposal and to select the proposal, which in the opinion of the County, provides the best service to the County.

RFP submission will be opened and announced publicly in the regularly scheduled Commission Meeting on March 2, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. Proposals will then undergo a thorough review process, and be officially awarded in the regularly scheduled Commission Meeting on March 16, 2021.
