Separate sealed BIDS for the construction of the East Carbon City Water Treatment Plant Project, 2022, will be received by East Carbon City at the East Carbon City Hall until 2:00 pm, September 6, 2022, and then opened and publicly read aloud.
A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, made payable to the Owner, shall accompany the Bid.
Federal Regulations: This is a federally funded project requiring compliance with the State’s “Fair share goal” and federal EEO regulations. Davis-Bacon wages apply to this project and are made a part of these contract documents. All bidders must comply with the requirements of the Build America Buy America Act (BABAA) including the American Iron and Steel Requirements.
Description of Work: The work involves the construction of a new package water treatment plant adjacent to the existing treatment plant building at the East Carbon Water Treatment Plant. The construction shall include the installation of steel building, a 50,000 gallon concrete water storage tank, interconnecting piping, treatment plant equipment, and electrical work. The steel building, treatment plant equipment, other accessory equipment, pumps, electrical generators shall be provided by the Owner and installed by the Contractor. Installation of the building and equipment shall include unloading, storing, and protecting the equipment.
Major items of work include:
1. Metal Building Erection & Interior Framing and Finishing (100’ X 55’)
2. Equipment assembly & Installation including package water treatment units, electrical generator, chlorine equipment & etc.
3. Piping and Plumbing
4. Structural Reinforced Concrete
5. 50,000 Gallon Concrete Storage Tank
6. Metal Grating and Platforms
7. Electrical
Prospective Bidders shall assemble at East Carbon City Hall on August 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., for the group showing.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the District.
Attendance at the project pre-site-show meeting and site-show is mandatory and a prerequisite to submitting a bid for the project. Bidding Contractors, or a duly authorized representative, must arrive at the East Carbon City Hall for the said meeting and site showing at 101 West Geneva Drive, East Carbon, Utah
The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following location: Engineer’s Office: Johansen & Tuttle Engineering, Inc., 90 South 100 East, Castle Dale, Utah 84513. Contract documents may be obtained at the Site Show upon a non-refundable payment of $100.00 for each set.
