As summer finally begins to peek around the corner, officials in Helper City once again ventured out to choose the Yard of the Month award recipient.
The award is given to property owners that have clearly taken a vested interest in caring for their yard, which reflects well on the city as a whole, and the environment.
This month, Pat and Gaylene Kokal of Roosevelt Street were awarded by Helper City Councilwoman Michelle Goldsmith and Jean Boyack of Helper City Planning and Zoning.
Those that wish to have their yard featured in the yard of the month awards may nominate themselves for the upcoming months by contacting Helper City Hall. Yards that are noticed by members of the community may also be nominated.
