The Carbon County 4H Horse Club hosted a competition at the Carbon County Posse arena on Aug. 8. Local 4H participants were joined by other young riders from the community to demonstrate their competitive equestrian skills.
Skills demonstrated included horsemanship barrels, poles and quadrangle. At the conclusion of the event, awards and prizes were given for individual events as well as overall show. Overall show awards went to the following participants:
Junior Division – Tavon Keli, first; Jaxton Pressett, second; and Thoryn Keil, third.
Intermediate Division – Izybella Prettyman, first; second Tennisen Twitchell; and Ireland Keil, third.
Senior Division – Megan Roberts, first; Abby Twitchell, second; and Bailee Christensen, third.
