Alice Ann Nelson Snyder, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024 in St George, Utah.

She was born in Ferron, Utah to Paul Andrew Nelson and Roxie Westover Nelson on February 10, 1940.  She was the first of 3 children.  She married Nyles Snyder on January 13, 1962 in Ferron, Utah. After moving to Salt Lake and Logan to attend school, they moved back to Ferron where they created their home and family.  After retirement, they enjoyed spending time at their St. George home.

Alice Ann worked at the courthouse for many years, helping to computerize all the county records. Her strong work ethic was instilled in her family, as she spent many hours day and night making sure the job was done. She met many friends there that she cherished through the years. She loved crocheting and tatting, golfing, Sudoku, music and dancing-especially 50’s style. She loved going to the desert to celebrate Easter and riding on motorcycles or 4 wheelers with her family. She never passed on a good mystery novel or movie, and Perry Mason was a longtime favorite. Supporting her family was always her top priority. Everyone especially loved her German chocolate cakes and cream puffs and sourdough pancakes. She loved home most of all, but she enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Alaska, New Zealand, and Mexico with family and friends.

The family will have a private memorial to remember and celebrate her life. Condolences and memories may be shared at:
