Culture Connection With a Little Razzle Dazzle

This Thursday’s Culture Connection was done a bit differently than in years past. In conjunction with the Fourth of July holiday, Culture Connection was held at the Carbon County Fairgrounds, which allowed attendees to enjoy a concert followed by fireworks without ever having to move their chairs, or blankets.

Mountain Country with Jim Fish kicked off the Fourth of July Culture Connection celebration with their easy-listening unique mix of country, folk and bluegrass. Attendees sat back and relaxed to the toe-tapping Mountain Country.

Next up was Route 89 to bring a little nostalgia to the audience. Route 89 is known for a variety of cover songs in every genre, dating back to songs from the 60’s. Route 89 had attendees of all ages up on their feet, showing off their moves. Kids were dancing out of their shoes as things got funky.

Route 89 kept it popping until the actual fireworks popped off, allowing the audience to enjoy the beautiful fireworks from the comfort of their seat.

As a reminder, Culture Connection will remain at Washington Park for future concerts. You won’t want to miss Waylon, Willie and Cash, (Tribute Band to the Highwaymen) on July 11.
