The UMWA Women’s Auxiliary held a golf tournament on Saturday at the Millsite Golf Course to raise money to help miners and their families in the event of a strike, closeout or shutdown.
The auxiliary is selling shirts for $12 each and holding a raffle for a Marlin 60sn semi automatic .22 long rifle. The drawing will be held on May 15 during the women’s auxiliary meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Huntington City Hall.
Tickets for the raffle will be sold at union meetings for $1 per ticket or $5 for six tickets. Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing.
