The EHS baseball team roughed up Manti’s pitching staff en route to an 18-5 region win.
Gage Bell led the offense with three triples, and Curtis Mason chipped in with a double. The Spartans collected 13 hits in just six innings.
Geren Payne got the win for Emery. Colton Hamilton took the loss.
The win ended a three-game losing streak for the Spartans. More importantly, the team improved to 1-1 in Region 12 play.
Emery’s next contest will be against Juab on Friday at 3:30 p.m. in Castle Dale.
